Women's Tennis to Cap Fall Season in North Carolina
November 04, 2010 | Women's Tennis
PRINCETON -- To conclude its fall season and its fall break, the Princeton women's tennis team will head to North Carolina to take part in the Kitty Harrison Invitational, an annual event with matches split between the University of North Carolina and Duke and played Friday through Sunday.
The format of the event puts Princeton players against those of one other school in a given session for a series of singles or doubles matches, though a team score is not kept. As in the rest of the fall events in which the Tigers have competed, the Harrison tournament is an individual format, though there are no brackets or flights involved.
Friday at North Carolina, Princeton's players will line up against those from Texas A&M in doubles at 9 a.m., and in singles against Virginia at 11:30 a.m. and UNC Greensboro at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, the action for Princeton moves to Duke, where Tiger players will face Maryland in doubles at 9 a.m., Duke in doubles at 10 a.m., and William & Mary in singles at 1:30 p.m. Sunday will bring Princeton back to UNC, facing UNC Greensboro in doubles at 9 a.m. and Minnesota in singles at 11:30 a.m.
