Princeton raced out to a big lead in the opening half and continued to build the margin throughout the game. The Tigers led 4-0 after eight minutes and continued to build their lead until the 13-4 final. Tommy Donahue returned from injury to lead the team with three goals. Chris Cottrell, Tim Wenzlau and Kurt Buchbinder all scored twice in the win.
Mike Merlone made four saves in the opening half to earn the win and Tyler Amina stopped five shots in the second half.
Princeton, the tournament's second seed, will now play third-seeded Johns Hopkins in this afternoon's semifinals. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Princeton is 15-7 overall.
