PRINCETON, N.J. (12/10/10) - Three members of the Princeton men's soccer team have been named to the 2010 NSCAA All-Region Teams it was announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on Thursday, Dec. 9.
Senior Josh Walburn was named first-team for the second consecutive season. A first-team All-Ivy League honoree, Walburn was one of 30 candidates for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Awards and was a preseason All-America by College Soccer News. After missing the first four games because of an injury, Walburn started the net 14 games and guided his team to a 12-2 record. He finished as the league's top assist getter with seven while scoring six goals for 19 points. Four of his six goals were game winners.
Junior Antoine Hoppenot was also named first-team after being a second-team selection in 2009. He was named the 2010 Ivy League Player after leading the league in scoring with nine goals and five assists for 23 points. Hoppenot was named a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy and is a candidate for the Soccer News Net Player of the Year.
