PRINCETON -- Jadwin Gym's indoor courts will see plenty of action this weekend as the women's team will play two matches and the men will play one.
The women will start the weekend hosting Vanderbilt at noon Saturday. Both teams are ranked in the ITA's top 75, released Thursday, with Princeton (4-3) at No. 63 and Vanderbilt (3-1) at No. 20. Both teams boast a ranked doubles team, with Princeton's Hilary Bartlett and Taylor Marable at No. 26, and the Commodores have four ranked singles players. The match is the second of a home-and-home series that saw Princeton fall 5-2 in Nashville during last spring break.
Sunday will see the women host Syracuse (5-1) at 11 a.m. Princeton is 11-2 all-time against the Orange and will be facing Syracuse for the first time since 2006.
Following that match, the Princeton men (1-3), newly ranked in the ITA top 75 at No. 71, will host St. John's (2-2) at 4 p.m. Both teams are coming off the ECAC team championship event, where Princeton won its opener against Yale before dropping the next two and St. John's went 0-2. Princeton is 12-0 all-time against the Red Storm and have met St. John's every year since 2005.
