Women's Golf to Open Spring Monday at Winthrop

PRINCETON -- Monday will bring the first two rounds of the opener of five spring tournaments for the Princeton women's golf teams when the Tigers play in the Winthrop Intercollegiate.
The Tigers competed in three fall tournaments, including their annual home meet as well as events at Kentucky and Missouri. Three players have led Princeton at the three tournaments, including Olivia Garard, Kate Scarpetta and Michelle Grilli.
The Winthrop Intercollegiate will put Princeton against Belmont Abbey (Division II, N.C.), Findlay (Division II, Ohio), Gardner-Webb, High Point, Marshall, Presbyterian, St. Francis (Pa.), South Carolina-Upstate, Winthrop, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Xavier.
Rock Hill Country Club will play host on a par-72 course measuring 5,900 yards for two days of competition with two rounds Monday and one Tuesday. Play will begin at 9:30 a.m. each day.
