Women's Tennis Faces Two Ranked Foes in Carolina

PRINCETON -- No. 67 College of Charleston and No. 42 North Carolina State are on the docket for the No. 27 Princeton women's tennis team Tuesday and Wednesday. Both matches will take place in Charleston, S.C.
New rankings are due to come out Tuesday afternoon from the ITA. Princeton (9-4) has won four straight matches against ranked opponents and five of seven this season.
On the most recent individual rankings, released March 2, Princeton sophomore Hilary Bartlett is ranked No. 70, while N.C. State's Sandhya Nagaraj is 51st. On the doubles list, Bartlett and Taylor Marable are 28th.
At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, College of Charleston (10-7) will face its third straight ranked opponent in Princeton after losing to No. 36 Oklahoma and N.C. State. The Wolfpack (6-4) have won back-to-back matches, defeating Wake Forest and College of Charleston. The Tigers have no recent history against either team, defeating College of Charleston back in 1981 and losing to N.C. State in 2002.
After the two-match South Carolina trip, Princeton will have four straight home matches, culminating in the Ivy League opener against Penn on Mar. 27.
