Women's Tennis Sweeps Penn in Ivy Opener, 7-0

PRINCETON -- With a sweep of Penn Saturday in Jadwin Gym, the Princeton women's tennis team began the Ivy League season with a 7-0 win.
The Tigers, ranked No. 32 in the nation by the ITA, improve to 14-5 on the season overall and will go on their only full Ivy weekend road trip to Yale and Brown, both ranked by the ITA, next weekend. Penn drops to 4-9 overall and 0-1 in the Ivy.
All six singles matches Saturday were straight-set winners for Princeton, with Hilary Bartlett, Taylor Marable, Blakely Ashley, Rachel Saiontz and Monica Chow all getting wins on both the singles and the doubles courts. Melissa Saiontz got a win at second singles and Sarah Hoffman helped complete a win at third doubles.
