No. 33 Women's Tennis Tops No. 40 Yale 6-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- In decisive fashion Friday afternoon at Yale, the No. 33 Princeton women's tennis team defeated No. 40 Yale 6-1 to knock off the closest Ivy team to Princeton in the ITA rankings.
Five Ivy League schools are ranked in the ITA's top 75, including Princeton's Saturday opponent, No. 66 Brown. Both of Princeton's foes next weekend are also ranked, Harvard at No. 52 and Dartmouth at No. 47.
Hilary Bartlett, Taylor Marable, Melissa Saiontz and Rachel Saiontz were doubles winners, while Bartlett, Melissa Saiontz and Rachel Saiontz also contributed singles wins. All five Princeton singles wins, with Blakely Ashley and Monica Chow also getting victories, came in straight sets. Yale's only point came in a third-set tiebreaker with Stevi Petrelli outlasting Taylor Marable.
Princeton's match at Brown will begin at noon Saturday.
