Tennis Teams Head Into Big Ivy Weekend

PRINCETON -- Each coming off an Ivy-opening win over Penn, the Princeton men's and women's tennis teams will head into a big Ivy weekend Friday and Saturday against Yale and Brown.
Friday, both teams will begin at 2 p.m. against Yale, with the men at home and the women on the road. The men's match will be held at Lenz Tennis Center if good weather comes as expected or in Jadwin Gym otherwise. Saturday, the women will play at Brown at noon while the men's first serve at home against the Bears will be at 2 p.m.
Princeton's men (5-10, 1-0) were 5-2 winners in Philadelphia last weekend to start the Ivy season and have won back-to-back matches for the first time on the spring campaign. Yale will enter the match at 11-6 overall while Brown enters the weekend at 10-9 with the Princeton-Penn weekend being the first Ivy matches for either team.
Princeton's women (14-5, 1-0) swept Penn 7-0 and are ranked No. 33 on this week's ITA chart. Hilary Bartlett is No. 72 on the singles list, and Bartlett and Taylor Marable are No. 19 on the doubles ranking.
Yale (11-4) and Brown (12-4) are each ranked on the women's side, at No. 40 and No. 66 respectively, and each school has a ranked doubles pair with Brown's Bianca Aboubakare and Casey Herzberg at No. 53 and Yale's Victoria Brook and Stephanie Kent at No. 56.
