Amy Bond Talks About 2010 Season as Ivies Approach
April 13, 2010 | Women's Golf
PRINCETON -- With the Ivy League Championship just more than a week away, Princeton women's golf coach Amy Bond took a moment to discuss the 2010 season.
The Tigers will head for Spook Rock Golf Course for the second straight weekend after defeating Columbia by three shots in a head-to-head dual match. This weekend, Columbia will host a field of teams, Princeton among them, for the Roar-EE Invitational at the Suffern, N.Y. course.
Princeton has competed in four events this spring including three Southern tournaments with diverse fields before returning north to battle Ivy and regional foes this weekend in the Columbia tournament and the Ivy League Championship April 23-25 at Baltusrol Golf Club.
Three of the eight Tigers are freshmen, including Anna Jang, Tiffany Dong and Olivia Garard, and Princeton has just one senior, Michelle Grilli. A trio of juniors, with Rachel Blum, Maggie Boberg and Kate Scarpetta, set up to give the Tigers a sizeable senior class next year, and the lone sophomore is Wonji Choi. Jang, Choi and Grilli have each led Princeton in an event this spring.
More information on the Roar-EE Invitational can be found here.
