Women's Golf Adds Dual Match with Columbia Saturday
April 09, 2010 | Women's Golf
PRINCETON -- The Princeton women's golf team has added a one-round dual match against Columbia Saturday at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y. beginning at 1:30 p.m.
It will give the Tigers another round of competition before the Ivy League Championship is held at Baltusrol Golf Club April 23-25. Princeton will return to Spook Rock for a Columbia-hosted multi-team event April 16-17.
Princeton has competed in three tournaments this spring and has had a different Tiger lead the team each time, whether freshman Anna Jang, sophomore Wonji Choi or senior Michelle Grilli. Columbia has competed in two events this spring, taking fourth in a nine-team field in California and seventh in a 17-team event hosted by Georgetown.
Princeton and Columbia finished third and fourth, respectively, at last year's Ivy League meet. The Tigers lost their top two finishers from last year's Ivy, Susannah Aboff and Marlowe Boukis, to graduation while Columbia returns four of its five minus its leader, Sara Ovadia.
