PRINCETON -- Tuesday afternoon brought the announcement of the NCAA tournament destination for the Princeton women's tennis team, and video of the Tigers learning that they are headed to Virginia is now available.
The Tigers watched the event in the Princeton squash lounge along with other members of the athletic staff following a 20-5 Ivy League championship spring season. Princeton assistant women's tennis coach Amanda Rales, a 2009 Virginia alumna, correctly predicted that the Tigers would be in a four-team grouping along with Duke and Virginia, though the team will play its match in Charlottesville and not Durham, N.C., though Duke is the seeded team of the four.
The first-round match against the Cavaliers will take place Friday, May 14 at 2 p.m. following the completion of the first-round match between Duke and Long Island.
