Four Tigers to Represent Princeton at USA Track & Field Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. (6/18/10) - Four members of the Princeton track & field teams will compete at the USA Outdoor and Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 23-27 on the Drake University campus in Des Moines, Iowa.
On the men's team sophomore Donn Cabral will compete in the senior championship, while freshmen Peter Callahan and Nathan Mathabane will compete in the junior championships. On the women's team junior Ashley Higginson will compete in the senior championship.
Cabral will run in the steeplechase on Friday, June 25 at 4:15 p.m. Cabral ranks sixth in the country in the event with a time of 8:35.60 set at the NCAA East Regional. He finished second at the NCAA Championships last week in his first time competing in the national finals.
Callahan and Mathabane will both run in the junior 1500 on Friday, June 25 at 12:15 p.m. Callahan posted a time of 3:46.54 and Mathabane ran a 3:49.02 at the Larry Ellis Invitational.Higginson will run in the women's steeplechase on Thursday, June 24 at 4:15 p.m. Higginson finished third at the NCAA Championship in the event with a personal best and Princeton record of 9:52.73. Her time ranks her fifth in the country.
