Golfer Kelly Shon Wins AJGA Junior Event

Princeton freshman Kelly Shon won the girls division at the American Junior Golf Association tournament at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., which wrapped up Aug. 26.
Shon, from Port Washington, N.Y., got better as the three-round tournament went on, firing a first-round 73 followed by a 69 and a 67 to win the 34-player division by four strokes. The victory follows Shon's advancement to the round of 16 at the U.S. Women's Amateur less than two weeks before.
The AJGA event drew 141 players ages 12-18 from all over North America. Complete results and more information can be found here.
