Women's Soccer Game Against Saint Joseph's Halted Due to Weather
September 23, 2010 | Women's Soccer
PRINCETON -- Wednesday night's Princeton women's soccer game against Saint Joseph's was halted at halftime due to continual lightning delays. If the game is rescheduled, it will start over from the beginning of the first half.
NCAA rules prohibit the restarting of a game once three hours have passed since the game's original start time. Lightning continued past 9:30 p.m., pushing the earliest restart time past 10 p.m. for the 7 p.m. game. Because the game had not reached the 70-minute mark, it could not be considered an official game, so no stats will count from the half that was played. The teams were tied 0-0 at the break.
GoPrincetonTigers.com will announce a reschedule date when it is decided.
