Women's Tennis Defeats Rutgers; Seton Hall Match Canceled

The Princeton women's tennis team defeated Rutgers 6-1 Wednesday afternoon to open the dual-meet season while the day's second match against Seton Hall was canceled due to difficult travel conditions in snowy New Jersey.
Against Rutgers, Princeton swept the doubles point, and Hilary Bartlett, Katherine Flanigan and Monica Chow were the first to win their singles matches and get the Tigers to four points. Rachel Saiontz and Taylor Marable pulled through in three-set matches to get the Tigers to six points.
Princeton's next matches will be in Tallahassee, Fla., as part of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend with Princeton's foursome hosted by Florida State. The Tigers will face the host Seminoles Saturday at 2 p.m. and will face either Texas or Washington at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Sunday.
