Cornell Tops Princeton Sprint Football Team

ITHACA, N.Y. (9/30/11) - The Princeton sprint football team fell 49-7 at Cornell on Friday night under the lights at Schoellkopf Field. Kevin Infante scored the team's first touchdown of the season in the loss.
The Big Red scored three first quarter touchdowns to build a 21-0 lead and stretched the lead to 28-0 before Princeton got on the scoreboard late in the second quarter. Princeton's scoring drive went 73 yards in 13 plays and ended with Infante's two yard touchdown run.
Cornell would add another touchdown late in the second quarter and one each in the third and fourth quarters. The Big Red outgained Princeton 364-159. Individually for Princeton, Jaison Zacharaiah passed for 109 yards on 13 of 31 attempts but was picked off four times, and Kevin Infante picked up 33 yards on the ground.
Princeton will play its first home game of the 2011 season next Friday when it hosts Army at 7 p.m., on Powers Field at Princeton Stadium.
