Hoppenot Named Athlete of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/10/11) - Antoine Hoppenot of the Princeton men's soccer team was named the Suburban Transit GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 9.
The 2010 Ivy League Player of the Year had a seven-point week averaging 3.5 points per game, as Princeton split a pair of games.
He scored two goals and added an assist in Princeton's 7-3 win over Seton Hall in the Tigers' highest single-game goal total in 16 years. Hoppenot made it a 3-0 game in the 25th minute when he dribbled into the box and shot from 10 yards out. Five minutes later he assisted on the next goal when he dished off at the last minute to teammate Matt Sanner who scored to make it 4-0. Hoppenot got his second of the night in the 59th minute when he ran down the left flank and chipped a shot into the goal.
On Saturday, at Brown, Hoppenot tied the game in the 36th minute when he converted a penalty kick. The Tigers would fall in overtime, 3-2.
