Women's Tennis Wraps Play at USTA Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Both of the doubles pairings from the Princeton women's tennis team that advanced to the flight finals at the USTA Invitational in Queens came up short Monday morning, wrapping Princeton's participation in the event.
In the "B" doubles final, the North Texas pair of Nadia Lee and Franziska Sprinkmeyer defeated Princeton's Katie Goepel and Rachel Saiontz in a tiebreaker, 9-8(6). In the "C" final, another North Texas duo, Ilona Serchenko and Barbara Vykydalova defeated Caitlin Bartlett and Joan Cannon by an 8-3 final.
Princeton will be away from competition until the Yale-hosted ITA Regional that runs from Oct. 21-25.
