Doubles Teams Enjoy 4-0 Start to ITA Regional

Princeton's two doubles teams went 4-0 at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Friday at Yale as both advanced to the round of 16 in the chase for an automatic berth to the USTA/ITA national event.
The No. 2 seed of 64 pairs, Hilary Bartlett and Lindsay Graff rolled past the Brown duo of Sarah Kandath and Laura Wiley 8-0 before defeating Kristina Chao and Kate Donnelly of Sacred Heart 8-2. Ninth-seeded Katie Goepel and Rachel Saiontz defeated Marina Bykovskaya and Emma Leibowicz of Binghamton 8-6 before knocking off Harvard's Camille Jania and Alexandra Lehman also by an 8-6 final.
Both Princeton doubles teams will play Yale pairs tomorrow as they look to advance to Sunday's quarterfinals.
Singles play will begin Saturday for Princeton's five entrants among the 96 competitors. Seeded Tigers Bartlett, Graff and Saiontz will have a bye into the round of 64 while Goepel and Monica Chow will play morning matches in the round of 96.
