Four Tigers Advance to Sunday at ITA Regional

One doubles team and two singles players emerged from Saturday's competition at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional at Yale.
Katie Goepel and Rachel Saiontz defeated the Yale pair of Steph Kent and Blair Seideman 8-4 to advance to Sunday's quarterfinal match against Boston College's Alex Kelleher and Olga Khmylev, while Tiger teammates Hilary Bartlett and Lindsay Graff were upset by the Yale duo of Amber Li and Annie Sullivan 9-7.
In singles play, Goepel and Monica Chow dropped their first-round matches, though two of Princeton's three seeded competitors advanced to the round of 32 Sunday. Bartlett defended her No. 1 seed with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Columbia's Ioana Alecsiu while Lindsay Graff advanced with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Army's Jamila Paul. Eighth-seeded Rachel Saiontz was upset 7-6(6), 6-4 by Dartmouth's Akiko Okuda.
All of Princeton's Saturday results and a Sunday schedule are below. The singles rounds of 32 and 16 are scheduled to be played Sunday, while only the quarterfinals will be played in doubles.
