Women's Tennis Enjoys Successful First Day at USTA

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- While Hilary Bartlett and Lindsay Graff wrapped their participation in the ITA All-America tournament in California this week, their six teammates began play on the East Coast Saturday with a successful first day at the USTA Invitational in Queens.
Princeton players won five of the six first-round singles matches contested, and two of the three doubles teams each won a pair of matches to advance to the semifinals of those draws. Freshmen Katie Goepel and Joan Cannon and sophomore Caitlin Bartlett were 3 for 3 Saturday, each winning a singles match and two doubles contests.
