Women's Swimming Places Three Finalists At Minnesota Grand Prix

The Princeton women's swimming and diving team continued its strong opening weekend at the 2011 Minnesota Grand Prix, one of the nation's most prestigious competitions leading up to the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Freshman Courtney Ciardiello opened Princeton's night by reaching the 'B' final in the 200 fly. An Olympic Trials qualifier already, Ciardiello finished the long-course race in 2:21.31.
Princeton had two finalists in the 100 back. Senior co-captain Meredith Monroe reached the 'B' final and placed sixth in 1:04.43. Sophomore Lisa Boyce earned a Top-20 finish, taking fourth in the 'C' final in 1:04.20.
Check out the results link at the top of the release to find all Princeton times. The Tigers had several other competitors compete Saturday, and will return for the final day of competition Sunday.
