Fencing to Open Dual Meet Season Saturday
December 02, 2011 | Men's Fencing, Women's Fencing
Only a few weeks after competing in the annual Penn State Garret Open individual event, the Princeton fencing teams will head back to central Pennsylvania for their first day of dual meets this season.
To start the day Saturday, Princeton will face North Carolina at 9 a.m., followed by Penn State at 10:15, NYU at 11:30, Sacred Heart at 1:20 p.m., and Vassar at 3:50 p.m. to close the day.
Princeton's men had a 17-7 dual-meet record a year ago, while the women were 24-3. The programs combined to finish fourth at the NCAA Championship.
The Penn State meet will mark Princeton's only day of duals until the first weekend of February when Princeton will compete at a two-day event hosted by Northwestern.
