Women's Track & Field Remains 2nd in Region

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/1/11) - The women's track team is ranked second in the Mid-Atlantic region for the second straight week, it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association in Week #2. Ahead of Princeton in first place is Penn State. The Tigers lead Villanova, West Viriginia and Pittsburgh, which make up the top 5.
Princeton has two marks that are top-40 in the NCAA. Senior Ashley Higginson ranks 10th in the 3000 with a time of 9:17.47, while senior Thanithia Billings mark of 19.21 meters in the weight throw is 31st in the NCAA.
