Tennis Teams Set for ECAC Championships This Weekend

Both Princeton tennis teams will compete in the ECAC Championship this weekend, with the women hosting the event at Jadwin Gym and the men heading to Harvard.
The women's team, ranked No. 36 in the nation by the ITA, is the top seed in the event and will open at 6 p.m. Friday against eighth-seeded NJIT and then play at either 11 a.m. or 6 p.m. Saturday against either Dartmouth or Brown. Two wins will get the Tigers to Sunday's 2:30 p.m. final.
The men's team, ranked 74th nationally, earned the No. 2 seed of 10 teams and will open play Saturday at 11:30 a.m. after awaiting the winner of Friday's match between Dartmouth and St. John's. The Tigers will then face either Binghamton or Yale at 8 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Sunday. If the Tigers win both, they will play in the tournament final at 2 p.m. Monday.
A year ago, the Princeton women opened with a win over Columbia but followed with a pair of 4-3 defeats to Dartmouth and Harvard. The men, as the sixth seed, upset Yale before falling to Harvard and Cornell.
