Women's Tennis Sweeps Past NJIT in ECAC Opener

PRINCETON -- In its first match of the ECAC Championship, the top-seeded Princeton women's tennis team swept past eighth-seeded NJIT 7-0 Friday evening and into a date with fifth-seeded Brown Saturday at 6 p.m.
Hilary Bartlett, Taylor Marable, Monica Chow and Katherine Flanigan were winners on the singles and doubles courts, while the doubles match featuring the Princeton pair of Blakely Ashley and Rachel Saiontz at third doubles was halted since the Tigers had already clinched the doubles point.
None of the six singles matches required a third set, and only one saw Princeton give up more than four games between the two sets played.
