Godlewski to Continue Playing Career at ECHL Trenton
March 11, 2011 | Men's Ice Hockey
Godlewski recently completed his fourth year with Princeton and finished with career totals of six goals and 20 assists for 26 points in 102 games. Godlewski set career highs in all three categories with four goals and 13 assists in 17 games as a sophomore. That season he was named to the All-Tournament Team at the RPI Tournament. He also attended a Chicago Blackhawks rookie camp in the summer of 2008.
Godlewski is part of the Princeton Class of 2011, which graduates as the winningest class in program history with 72 wins over the last four years. He becomes the third member of the class to extend his playing career professionally. Taylor Fedun inked an entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers earlier in the week and Matt Arhontas made his pro debut in the ECHL at Reading on Wednesday night.
Godlewski is now the seventh Princeton player to appear in the ECHL this season, joining Arhontas (Reading), Zane Kalemba (Elmira, Reading, Stockton), Mark Magnowski (Bakersfield), Daryl Marcoux (Stockton), Jody Pederson (Elmira, Stockton) and Dustin Sproat (Cincinnati). He is also the 16th Tiger to play professionally during the 2010-11 season. A full list is available here.
