UAB Defeats Men's Tennis to Cap Spring Trip

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Alabama-Birmingham took the doubles point as well as the singles matches on courts three through six to hand the Princeton men's tennis team a 5-2 defeat Saturday morning to end the Hilton Mission Valley Spring Classic in San Diego.
Matt Spindler was a winner in both doubles and singles play, teaming with Michael Lin to win at third doubles before getting a second-set tiebreak to defeat the Blazers' Lucas Dirube on court two. Matija Pecotic won a three-set match at first singles to claim Princeton's second point.
The match was Princeton's last before Ivy League play opens Saturday on campus against Penn.
