St. John's Defeats Men's Tennis 4-3

PRINCETON -- St. John's won on singles courts three through six to defeat the Princeton men's tennis team 4-3 Saturday afternoon in Jadwin Gym.
The loss drops the 57th-ranked Tigers to 6-3 on the season with all three losses coming by 4-3 scores.
Princeton swept the doubles point and got two out of the first three singles matches to be decided, but St. John's carried the balance to clinch the team victory.
Matija Pecotic and Matt Spindler had the wins on the first two singles courts, while Pecotic, Matt Siow, Augie Bloom, Alex Faust, Dan Davies and Yohei Shoji combined for the doubles sweep.
The Tigers will return to the Jadwin Gym indoor courts for a 2 p.m. match Sunday against Stony Brook.
