PRINCETON -- No. 43 Brown defeated the 56th-ranked Princeton women's tennis team 6-1 Friday afternoon in Jadwin Gym, handing the Tigers their first Ivy League loss of the season while the Bears opened their Ivy schedule with a win.
Brown won on the second and third doubles courts to clinch that point and followed up with five singles wins to complete the 6-1 final. Rachel Saiontz picked up Princeton's point at second singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Bianca Aboubakare.
Princeton will face Yale Saturday at noon. The match is scheduled to take place at the Lenz Tennis Center but could move inside to Jadwin Gym if the temperature dips below the outdoor limit of 50 degrees.
