Women's Golf Wins Brown Invitational

BARRINGTON, R.I. -- Kelly Shon won runner-up medalist status as the Princeton women's golf team placed all four scorers in the top 10 in Rhode Island Monday and delivered the second tournament win of the 2010-11 season.
The freshman Shon turned in a 71 and 74 to finish at +1 for the tournament. Harin Lee of St. John's finished atop the individual leaderboard at -7.
Princeton finished ahead of a 13-team field that included four other Ivies. Harvard was the runner up by eight shots, while Yale took fourth, Brown placed seventh and Dartmouth took ninth in the event hosted at Rhode Island Country Club.
Princeton also won the Turtle Bay Resort Collegiate Invitational during the fall season in November, delivering the first tournament victory for rookie head coach Nicki Cutler.
The Tigers will be away from competition until they take part in the Ivy League Championship in Atlantic City, N.J. from April 22-24.
