Bartlett Earns Third First-Team All-Ivy League Honor

PRINCETON -- Four Princeton women's tennis players received All-Ivy League recognition for their success during the 2011 season, the Ivy office announced Thursday.
Junior Hilary Bartlett, the Ivy League Player of the Year in 2010, was named first-team All-Ivy League in singles and doubles along with Taylor Marable, while junior Rachel Saiontz received second-team singles honors for the third straight year and second-team doubles honors for the second straight year after receiving honorable mention in doubles in 2009. Sophomore Monica Chow, Saiontz's doubles teammate throughout the Ivy League season, also received second-team All-Ivy doubles honors, marking her first All-Ivy award.
Bartlett is one of 12 players to receive three first-team All-Ivy League singles honors three times, while Bartlett and Marable are two of nine players to receive three first-team All-Ivy doubles recognitions since the league began naming All-Ivy teams in women's tennis in 1979.
Bartlett was Princeton's No. 1 singles player all season, winning three of seven matches against the Ivy's best and teaming with Marable on the top doubles court to win five of seven league matches. Saiontz went 6-1 as Princeton's No. 2 singles player in Ivy play, while she and Chow went 5-2 at the second doubles spot.
Princeton finished the regular season 12-9 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League, finishing third behind co-champions Yale and Dartmouth.
