Hermann Trophy Watch List
CSN Preseason All-America Team
Senior striker Antoine Hoppenot has been named to the 2011 Men's Hermann Trophy Watch List and tabbed a first-team preseason All-America by College Soccer News.
Hoppenot was a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy last season. The Hermann Trophy is the Heisman of college soccer, awarded to the top intercollegiate player. CSN named him a third-team All-America at the end of the 2010 season, the only Ivy Leaguer to make the list of the top-33 players in the country.
Hoppenot is the 2010 Ivy League Player of the Year and was a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy last year. He has been named All-Ivy all three seasons, is a two-time all-region selection, while being tabbed an All-America by two organizations. Hoppenot has been the team's leading scorer the past two seasons as he helped the Tigers to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and an Ivy League title. He currently has 53 points on 22 goals and nine assists, ranking him 13th all time at Princeton in points and 11th in goals.
Earlier this month, Hoppenot was ranked one of the top professional prospects, ranking sixth in the nation among college senior soccer players.
