Gengler Thomas Named to USTA Middle States HOF

Louise Gengler Thomas '75, who coached the Princeton women's tennis team from 1980-2004 after competing as one of the first female athletes at Princeton, will be inducted into the United States Tennis Association Middle States Hall of Fame in October.
Gengler Thomas is the all-time winningest and longest-serving coach in Princeton women's tennis history, winning 259 matches and seven Ivy League championships along the way. Her coaching tenure came after she was a three-sport varsity athlete at Princeton, playing field hockey, ice hockey and tennis before winning the C. Otto von Kienbusch Award as the school's top senior athlete.
