Women's Golf to Host Princeton Invitational
September 22, 2011 | Women's Golf
The 15th annual Princeton Invitational women's golf tournament will return to Springdale Golf Club for three rounds between Saturday and Sunday as 12 teams will compete for the invitational title.
The 12 teams competing are Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Lehigh, Mount St. Mary's, Penn, Princeton, Rollins, Rutgers, Siena and Seton Hall. There will be a new team and individual champion as Yale, which edged Princeton by three shots a year ago, is not part of the field. Yale's Seo Hee Moon was last year's individual champion.
The Springdale course will be a par-72 with the yardage to be determined. Tee times will also be posted here when they are available, with the earliest tee time coming at 8 a.m. each day. Teams will start each day on either the first or 10th tees with two rounds Saturday and one Sunday.
Princeton has won eight of the first 14 team titles, most recently in the fall of 2007. That was also the last year a Tiger won the individual title at the home meet, with Susannah Aboff '09 taking the honor.
