Sept. 29 TigerCast: Luis Nicolao & Mike Catapano
September 29, 2011 | Football, General, Men's Water Polo
Men's water polo head coach Luis Nicolao and senior defensive lineman Mike Catapano join the latest edition of TigerCast.
Nicolao, who has led Princeton to a pair of NCAA Final Fours, has gotten a young Tiger squad off to a 10-1 start. Several freshmen have led the way, including leading goal scorer Kayj Shannon and leading point scorer Drew Hoffenberg. Princeton is making a big jump in competition this weekend with several games out west, including a matchup with No. 1 USC and four games against a loaded field in the SoCal Tournament.
Catapano is a tri-captain and three-year starter on the defensive line for a football team that makes its Ivy League opener Saturday night against Columbia. A 2010 All-Ivy honoree, Catapano is one of the most physical linemen in the Ivy League, and he will be looking to shut down Columbia's talented quarterback Sean Brackett, as well as the remainder of the Lions offense, this weekend.
