September 07, 2011 | Women's Golf
What was a busy summer on the golf course for Princeton sophomore Kelly Shon has been capped with a national accolade.
Shon was named to Golf World's list of the top 50 women's college golfers to watch in the upcoming 2011-12 season, the magazine announced Wednesday, Sept. 7. Read the full list here.
This summer, Shon played in the U.S. Women's Open, the Canadian Women's Open, the U.S. Women's Amateur and the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links tournaments. In her last endeavor for Princeton, she qualified individually for the NCAA East Regional tournament after a first-team All-Ivy League season.
Shon and the Tigers will begin the fall campaign by hosting the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club from Sept. 24-25.
