WILMINGTON, N.C. -- UNC Wilmington, the No. 46-ranked team in the nation, handed 70th-ranked Princeton's men's tennis team a 6-1 loss Saturday afternoon in the Tigers' first of a two-match trip to North Carolina.
Princeton will face Elon Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on the indoor courts at Wake Forest.
UNCW swept the doubles point and won on singles courts two through five, while Princeton's Matija Pecotic, the 46th-ranked player by the ITA, defeated UNCW's top player, Chris Cooprider, 6-4, 7-6(7) to claim Princeton's point.
