Yergler, Singh Named National Fencers of the Week

In helping Princeton to a sweep of the Ivy League titles for the second time in three years, Jonathan Yergler and Ambika Singh were named National Fencers of the Week by CollegeFencing360.com.
Junior epeeist Yergler was 11-3 and had a clinching bout against Columbia Sunday that helped keep the Tigers undefeated and on track for an outright Ivy title. Freshman foilist Singh was named the women's Most Outstanding Performer of the meet after a 17-1 record.
Also among the site's Primetime Performers for the week were freshman epeeist Katharine Holmes and junior epeeist Edward Kelley. Holmes went 16-2 at the Ivy weekend, while Kelley was 12-2.
