Women's Track & Field Wins Three at Final Indoor Home Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/18/12) - The Princeton track & field teams completed its home schedule for the 2012 indoor season with the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Jadwin Gym.
Junior Tory Worthen won her fourth pole vault title of the season by clearing 3.96 (12-11.75). It was done on her first attempt at the height. Senior Lydia Arias, senior Bianca Reo and junior Lauren Tauscher all tied for second with marks of 3.50 (11-5.75).
Also capturing a victory was junior Maggie McKeever in the 800. McKeever clocked in a 2:15.86 a new personal best. Freshman Rachel Skokowski was third at 2:19.88.
Junior Erin Guty was the runner up in the 200 with a time of 26.08 with sophomore Jasmine Blocker finishing at 26.10 to take third place. Blocker was also the runner up in the 400 at 58.44, her best time of the season in the event.
Freshman Jackie Nicholas placed third in the mile clocking in at 5:06.56, while classmate Gina Talt was fifth at 5:08.96.
In the throws Princeton had two fifth-place finishes. Sophomore Chelsea Cioffi was fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.59 (47-10.50), while freshman Nonny Okwelogu was fifth in the shot put with a throw of 12.61 (17-5.25).
Princeton had three participants in the indoor pentathlon. The trio went 1-2-3 with Sophomore Beth McKenna won the five-event combination with 3,229 points. Classmates Theresa Kennedy and Samantha Anderson followed with 3,121 and 3,045 points, respectively. Kennedy also placed fourth in the long jump clearing 5.31 (17-5.25).
