Tigers Impress, Set All-Time Top-10s at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – Setting multiple program all-time top-10 marks, the Princeton women's track and field team competed at the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia this weekend.
First-year Laila Payne highlighted the weekend, running 13.55 in the 100m hurdles for ninth in the prelims and a program all-time second best. She came just short of matching the 1997 Princeton record of 13.08, held by Nicole Harrison '98.
Pia Beaulieu also had an exceptional race in the 3000m steeplechase. In just her third time competing in the event, Beaulieu clocked in at 10:02.39 for third place in the all-time program leaderboard.
A quartet of Tigers impressed in the 1500m, with Hannah Riggins taking a seventh place finish with a time of 4:15.05. The mark is less than a second off from her outdoor best and program all-time fifth-best time of 4:14.67.
Olivia Martin improved her all-time program 7th-best rank with a new best of 4:19.13. Meg Madison also added her name to the leaderboard with an eighth-best time of 4:19.33.
Anna McNatt rounded out the Tigers with a new personal best of 4:20.35.
Emily Cooper, competing in the 10k for the first time, took 13th place with a time of 35:29.01.

The Tigers will return home to Weaver Stadium as they host the Larry Ellis Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
