PRINCETON, N.J. (3/9/12) - Derrick Pallis, who last week completed his career with the Princeton men's hockey team, made his professional debut on Friday night with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL. Pallis wore jersey number 29 in his professional debut, as his team lost to Elmira just a few miles from Hobey Baker Rink at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.
Pallis played in every game his senior season and was the second-leading scoring defenseman. The assistant captain tallied 14 points on two goals and 12 assists. Pallis appeared in 127 games during his tenure and scored 16 goals and 40 assists for 56 points.
Pallis is the fourth Princeton player to appear in the ECHL this season, joining Kevin Lohry (Bakersfield), Jody Pederson (Stockton) and Cam Ritchie (Idaho). He is also the 17th Tiger to play professionally during the 2011-12 season. A full list is available here.
