Women's Golf Heads for Brown Invitational
April 06, 2012 | Women's Golf
Three Tigers will represent Princeton at the Brown Invitational women's golf event Sunday and Monday in Barrington, R.I.
Kelly Shon, Wonji Choi and Christine Kong will compete as individuals for the team. It is the program's final event before the Ivy League Championship the last weekend of April.
Shon is just a couple of weeks removed from her medalist performance at the Low Country Intercollegiate in South Carolina, where Choi also posted a top-three finish.
The Brown event, held at Rhode Island Country Club, will feature one round each day with Princeton's trio competing against players from Boston University, Brown, Dartmouth, Fairleigh Dickinson, Penn, Quinnipiac, St. John's, Siena and Yale.
Behind top-10 finishes from Shon, Choi and the now-graduated Kate Scarpetta and Rachel Blum, Princeton won the Brown Invitational ahead of a 13-team field a year ago.
