Hoppenot Makes First MLS Start
July 30, 2012 | Men's Soccer
Antoine Hoppenot made his MLS start on Sunday, July 29 as the Philadelphia Union defeated the New England Revolution 2-1 at PPL Park.
Called the "super sub", Hoppenot has been a late game substitution for the Union and immediately makes his presence known. A fan favorite at PPL Park, he appeared in nine games and scored twice before getting the start on Sunday.
He played 78 minutes and had one shot and a number of chances and was fouled three times, including a big take down by A.J. Soares that earned the defender a yellow card.
