Thomas Sanner Scores Game Winner in 1-0 Win at Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. (9/16/12) - Freshman Thomas Sanner scored the deciding goal in the 27th minute as the Princeton men's soccer team defeated Villanova 1-0 on Sunday, Sept 9 at the Villanova Soccer Complex.
Sophomore Cameron Porter delivered the game winner to Sanner with a cross across the box to Sanner who tapped it in for the goal at 26:21. It is Sanner's first career goal, as the rookie now commands the scoring column with four points after collecting two assists earlier this month.
Junior goalkeeper Seth MacMillan earned his first win of the season making four saves, on two shots from Sanner and two from sophomore Julian Griggs.
John Fogarty made three saves for the Wildcats as Princeton dealt Villanova just its second loss of the season.
Princeton begins a five-game homestand next weekend when it hosts the 2012 Princeton Soccer Invitational, hosting Rider on Friday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
