Hoy Named Ivy League Player of the Week
September 03, 2012 | Women's Soccer
Senior forward Jen Hoy is the first Ivy League Player of the Week for the new women's soccer season after her four-goal weekend.
The league announced the honor for Hoy Monday, one day after she scored three straight goals to stake Princeton to a 3-0 lead against Colgate. Last Friday, Hoy scored Princeton's goal against No. 15 Wake Forest.
It is Princeton's first Ivy League Player of the Week honor since Hoy was selected on Sept. 12, 2011. She was also named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Oct. 26, 2009.
The senior and her teammates will play two more games this weekend at Roberts Stadium, Friday against Saint Joseph's and Sunday against Temple.
