Fencers Set to Open Season at Columbia, Penn Duals

Coming off the first dual men's/women's national championship in program history, the Princeton fencing program will begin the encore effort this weekend with meets hosted by Columbia and Penn.
Columbia will host Friday's event, with Princeton meeting NJIT, Columbia and Stevens in dual meets at 5 p.m., 6:15 and 7:30, respectively.
Penn will host Saturday's event, with Ohio State joining the Tigers and Quakers for a competition by weapons that will begin at 9 a.m.
The Tiger women return five of the six who competed at the NCAA Championship, all of whom earned All-America honors, including saberist Gracie Stone, foilists Eve Levin and Ambika Singh, and epeeists Katharine Holmes and Susannah Scanlan. On the men's side, Princeton returns four of the six NCAA competitors after graduating both of its All-America epeeists, Jonathan Yergler '13 and Edward Kelley '13. Foilists Michael Dudey and Rodney Chen are back, as are saberists Robert Stone and Philip Dershwitz, with Dudey and Stone joining Yergler and Kelley as All-America honorees last season.
Princeton will compete at the Sacred Heart duals on Dec. 8 before taking a break from competition until February's multi-team dual meet at Northwestern.
