• Princeton is 4-1 for the first time since the 2006-07 season. If it can defeat Bucknell Saturday, Princeton will be 5-1 for the first time since the 1997-98 season.
• This was the first meeting with George Mason in program history
• Princeton won a game against an Atlantic 10 opponent for the first time since Dec. 5, 2010 against Saint Joseph's. The only other game since then against an A-10 foe was last year's meeting with Fordham at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a 63-60 defeat.
• George Mason started slow from the field, going 1-5 over the first seven and a half minutes before ending the half shooting 45 percent (9-20) for the period. Princeton shot 64 percent (16-25) over the opening frame.
• A Princeton timeout with three minutes to go before the half sparked the Tigers to close the period on an 11-1 run, allowing Princeton to take a 40-23 lead into the break.
• T.J. Bray, who scored eight points in 21 minutes last Saturday in his first game back from injury, needed only four shots to better that before halftime, starting the game 4-4 from the field for nine points.
• T.J. Bray's 10 assists are the most for a Tiger since Mike Stephens '05 had 10 against Ursinus in 2003, and the most for a Princeton player against a Division I opponent since Kit Mueller '91 had 11 in 1991 against Brown. Adding in that Bray had no turnovers, it's the best assist-to-turnover ratio in a game at Princeton since 1999, when Mueller had 11 assists and one turnover.
• T.J. Bray's 18 points and 10 assists gave him his first career double-double. His previous career best in assists was eight, last season against Bucknell, coincidentally Princeton's next opponent.
• Princeton's largest lead was 17 points, at the half and again as late as 52-35 with 13 minutes to go. George Mason chipped away and used an 12-3 run over a span of four-plus minutes to make it 62-60 Tigers with five minutes to go.
• George Mason tied the game at 66-66 with 1:21 left in a game the Patriots had not - and would not - lead. Princeton scored the last five points, shutting out George Mason over the game's final 81 seconds.
• After tying the game, George Mason had just two possessions, resulting in a Sherrod Wright miss and a Bryon Allen turnover. Princeton's possessions after the tie resulted in a bucket by Hans Brase, a bucket by T.J. Bray, and a split from the line by Jimmy Sherburne.
• Princeton's 61 percent FG clip was its best since the Tigers shot .654 (34-52) at Dartmouth on Feb. 25, 2012.
• While T.J. Bray's 7-for-10 night from the field was outstanding, two Tigers were perfect from the field, including Hans Brase (5-5) (above left) and Pete Miller (2-2) (above right).
• T.J. Bray passed San Diego Padres outfielder Will Venable '05 (253) for 11th on the career assist list, now with 255. Armond Hill '85 is in 10th place with 260.
