Taylor Fedun '11 has been recalled by the Edmonton Oilers it was announced on Monday, Nov. 4. He joins the Oilers in Florida as the team takes on the Panthers Tuesday night.
Fedun skated with the team this morning and has been named to the lineup tonight, playing on a pairing with Nick Schultz.
“I think the nerves are definitely going to be present but quite frankly I'd be more worried if they weren't present," Fedun said on the Oilers Web site. "I think that'll be a good thing to get out there and just play the game. I'm excited.”
Fedun has played in 12 games this season for Oklahoma City (AHL) and has one goal and three assists as a defenseman.
The Princeton alum has spent last year with the Barons collecting 27 points (8-19-27) in 70 games. In 17 playoff games, Fedun had six points (3-3-6). This season he was named alternate captain of the Barons.
Fedun missed the entire 2011-12 season after breaking his leg chasing down an iced puck against Minnesota in a preseason game.
